T-Mobile has just announced the launch of the exclusive T-Mobile G1 with GoogleTM, a phone that is built for the internet with the much awaited Google Android.

Google G1 Android phone from T-MobileThe T-Mobile G1 will deliver a completely new mobile internet experience. It’s the first phone with the Android MarketTM, where users can download applications to personalize the phone to the way they want to use it and it’s the first phone where the internet is always live.

The new features of the new T-Mobile G1 include:

* Calls, texts, instant messages, e-mail, blogging or social networks
* High speed 3G internet with surfing even faster using the full touch screen and trackball
* The full QWERTY keyboard design makes it easy to type
* Google portfolio of services - search, IM, email and maps with GPS
* It’s the first phone with the Android Market, so users can download and add more of the applications
* Inbuilt 3 Mega pixel camera
* Available in black and white

Expected to be a rival to Apple’s iPhone, the G1 is by some compared more to the Nokia internet tablet devices, although we believe that for many it will be an alternative to the iPhone. The G1 is similar in size, only slightly heavier, and features a reported very responsive touchscreen interface that is very user friendly. To rival Apple’s iPhone application store which is a closed marketplace, Google has developed their own Android Market where users can download applications to their phones developed through the Google Android open source platform.

The G1 phone will be live on the T-Mobile Direct website on 31st October so make sure you take advantage and become one of the first owners of the new T-Mobile G1 with Google Android.

In the meantime you might also want to check out the new Nokia N96 8GB.
